Getting Here - Shaw Festival Theatre

The Shaw Festival has three theatres, two within the same building, and one in downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake a short walk from the main theatre.  Set your GPS to the Memorial Clock Tower at 26 Queen St, Niagara-on-the-Lake — it’ll situate you nicely in front of our Court House Theatre.

Parking in NOTL

Festival Theatre Parking
Parking is available for a fee of $25 per performance. We encourage electronic payment. Parking attendant will have a handheld debit/credit terminal. Limited parking for people with disabilities is also available for the same fee. Additional parking is available on the streets (parking meters) and at Fort George ($).

Parking machines in the Niagara-on-the-Lake Heritage District
The Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s parking machines, located within the Heritage District, will no longer accept credit card payments. Coins will continue to be accepted through these parking machines, as well as credit card payments via the Honk Mobile app or a QR code for contactless payment.

There are two ways to pay for parking using Honk Mobile
1. The Honk app can be downloaded for free on iOS and Android at honkmobile.com or via the App Store or Google Play.
2. Motorists can opt to use HonkTAP smart stations located throughout Niagara-on-the-Lake’s Heritage District

Additional pay for parking option
Motorists can choose to pay for parking via Honk Mobile or the standard format provided through a nearby parking meter. Rates remain the same, with the addition of a $0.25 convenience fee if Honk Mobile is used.

Line-ups at border crossings can sometimes cause delays, and traffic on the QEW from Toronto at certain times can be heavy. Please allow at least two hours for your drive from Toronto. Traveller identification requirements for border crossings

Welcome to our cross-border region! To assist with your travel plans to our area, we are pleased to provide these details regarding the current travel identification requirements.

The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) requires U.S. travelers to present a passport or other document that denotes identity and citizenship when entering the U.S. by land or water. For an easy reference guide to acceptable forms of identification into the United States, click here.

Do I need a passport to enter Canada?

The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI), requires anyone, including U.S. citizens, entering or re-entering the United States by air, land and sea to have a valid WHTI-compliant document such as a passport or a NEXUS card when used at a NEXUS kiosk at designated airports. U.S. citizens can also use a state-issued enhanced driver’s license.

International visitors to Canada that are not U.S. citizens must carry a valid passport and visa (if required). Citizens from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Mexico, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia and others do not require a visa to enter Canada. What are the requirements for children entering Canada?

U.S. and Canadian citizens under the age of 16 or under the age of 19 if traveling with a school, religious or other youth group, may present a passport, a birth certificate, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, Canadian Citizenship Card or a naturalization certificate. Birth certificates can be an original, photocopy or certified copy.

Divorced parents who share custody of their children should carry copies of the legal custody documents. Adults who are not parents or guardians must have written permission from the parents or guardians to accompany the children. When travelling with a group of vehicles, parents or guardians should travel in the same vehicle as the children for border crossing.
